Six years working for digital agencies…

I headed up the social media and community management offering at Connecting Element. I developed the social media offering for the agency. From team set-up and department structure, through to the design of operational processes and the creation of the services we offer. This has resulted in the tripling of revenue from our social media proposition.

Brands I have supported:  Toby Carvery, Harvester, Miller & Carter steakhouse, Crown Carveries (Mitchells & Butlers), CELIA lager and House of Beers brands (Carlsberg), University of Birmingham, Me & My Golf – to name a few.

Before working at Connecting Element, I was the first full-time employee at First 10 and supported the directors in taking the business from 5 to 23 people in two years. A steep learning curve and an education in the world of digital, working with a team of innovative thinkers. I worked with Tilda Rice, Engage Mutual, Puma, Smart Insights, Johnson Press, Prozone Sports and more during my time with the agency.

I’m a casual lecturer at Birmingham City University, teaching on the BA (Hons) Digital Marketing course and the Future Media: Pro MA / MSc course.
